Much of the excellence of this spa is due to the enthusiasm, education, and constant pursuit of more learning in this field, of the head of The Octavia Skin Spa. Mira Waksman began doing facials in 1975, at which time she went to an excellent school in Tel Aviv, the "Paula Reveille" school. Mira had her own skin care spa in the country club, "Rama Hashron", Israel, for five years. During that time, she took enhancement classes in the cosmetic world in Israel and Europe. This included Sidesco training. She worked mainly with clients with sun overexposure. She worked with acne problems as well, and she studied intensively the treatment of rejuvenating mature skin. What an amalgam of expertise!
In 1980, Mira came to the U.S. and worked for 8 years in one of the top skin care spas in the Bay Area. She was considered the top aesthetician. Mira then opened her own skin care spas in Palo Alto and in San Francisco. She is an expert in facials, electrolysis, and permanent makeup.
